Australian Brand Love: Bonnie and Neil

Here we have a new section of the blog that I have wanted to create for a while: Australian Brand Love! I absolutely adore Australian design from furniture and homewares to branding and graphic design. This new segment will focus on one brand each time and give you a run down of their background and my favourite products of the moment by the brand in question. Hopefully this will help you discover new designers, support Australian business or simply reignite a passion for a brand you previously knew and loved.

First brand under the spotlight is Bonnie and Neil. Bonnie and Neil started back in 2010 with a handful of stockists and is now seen globally in stores such as Anthropologie and Liberty! They focus on luxury homewares, handmade in their Melbourne studio. Creators, Bonnie Ashley and Neil Downie have backgrounds in floristry, art, textiles, furniture and set design and it is evident throughout all their pieces.

Bonnie and Neil are known for their vibrant range of products including ceramics, tableware, artwork, bedding and more recently; porcelain tiles and vinyl rugs. Lots of pattern, bright colours, botanical motifs and the odd nod to Australian culture can be found in their designs. I have been a fan of Bonnie and Neil for years and always look forward to their new ranges. Some of my personal favourite items are the porcelain tiles, brightly coloured tea towels, floral artworks and anything with the cute koala image on it! I will post some of my favourite items below but head on over to the Bonnie and Neil website to browse more. And don’t forget to follow them on Instagram for daily inspiration!
